EMERGENCY ALERT TESTS
The City of Laguna Beach conducts quarterly tests of the Outdoor Warning System - a network of speakers and sirens throughout the city.
All tests are communicated in advance to the public, at a minimum, on our website, via Laguna Beach text alerts, and city social media accounts. Below are test dates for 2026. Dates and times are subject to change based on unforeseen circumstances.

Sign Up for Laguna Beach Text Alerts
The City of Laguna Beach uses multiple methods to communicate to residents and visitors during an emergency or to relay time-sensitive information. Some, like citywide text alerts, require you to sign up. Others, like Wireless Emergency Alerts and the Outdoor Warning System sirens and speakers, are broadcast to everyone within a certain area.

Alerts about road closures, traffic accidents, and traffic jams in Laguna Beach. To subscribe, text LBTRAFFIC to 888-777.
Business Notifications
Alerts to Laguna Beach business owners about installing floodgates and other business-related alerts. To subscribe, text LBBIZ to 888-777.
Dog Park Notifications
Alerts when the Laguna Canyon Dog Park and Moulton Meadows Dog Play Area close due to wet and muddy conditions. To subscribe, text LBDOGPARK to 888-777.
Red Flag Parking Restriction Notifications
Alerts when the National Weather Service (NWS) issues a Red Flag Warning and parking restrictions go into effect in specific neighborhoods. To subscribe, text LBREDFLAG to 888-777.
