Building Permits and Zoning Plan Checks can be submitted through our Public Permit Portal. You can now submit your application from the convenience of your home or office in two simple steps:

 Important Notice – Permit Center Counter Hours & Check-In Policy 

The City’s public permit counter is currently open: 

  • Mondays: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 
  • Tuesday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  

These hours are established to ensure our Building and Planning staff have adequate time to process permit applications submitted both over the counter and online. To effectively manage processing and wait times, staff will begin monitoring the check-in queue approximately 1½ hours prior to the scheduled closure time. 

To ensure sufficient staff time for permit processing and review, a hard cut-off has been implemented. Once staff determines that the queue has reached capacity during the final 1½ hours of service for the day, no additional sign-ins will be accepted. This measure ensures that all customers already in the queue can be assisted before closing and allows staff to maintain timely processing of online submissions and essential back-office permit review work. 

Please plan to arrive early or schedule an appointment using the link below to avoid missing the daily cut-off. 

While we strive to provide the highest level of customer service, extended wait times caused by late queue entries significantly impact counter operations and delay service for both in-person and online applicants.
